The Gaggia Classic espresso machine comes in brushed stainless steel and has been on the market for a very long time.
It is rated as the best mid-range espresso machine and after researching a few brands and models I realized that this is a great choice for those looking to start making espressos or those looking to find the best value from an espresso machine.
The introduction of stainless steel not only added a very professional look to the product but also created a durable housing that won’t rust overtime.

The Gaggia Classic Espresso Machine
This machine comes with a 72-ounce removable water reservoir and a 17-1/2-bar pump with high-voltage boiler. It also contains a single- and double-shot stainless steel filter basket, tamper and measuring scoop.
The single- and double-shot filters gives you diversity. You can make any coffee you want.
What’s great is that the Gaggia Classic espresso machine has a heavy chrome plated brass filter holder that will keep the temperature stable throughout the entire brewing process and therefor help you get a good-quality espresso.
And according to the reviews the handle has a great weight and feel to it.
Another feature this machine comes with is a cup warmer which is essential when making good espressos. The cup warmer can hold up to five espresso cups.
It is a passive type heater which means that it is heated by the residual heat from the boiler. If you want hot water for tea, americanos or hot chocolate it’s accomplished by simply turning on the pump switch and open the steam knob.
Hot water will start to stream out and you are good to go.
Change The Quality Of Your Shots
There are alot of important factors to consider when purchasing an espresso machine but one that is slightly more important than others seems to be the crema that the machine can produce.
The Gaggia machine gives you one of the best crema espressos if you trust some of the reviews out there, with a lovely and delightful mahogny color and an amazing aroma to go with it.
Remember that you can change the grind setting along with the tamper pressure if you are not happy with the result.
This will change the quality of your shots and experience will teach you to find the right balance.
What I found when gathering and reading through the reviews (and this is quite interesting) is that the Gaggia Classic espresso machine had heaps of positive reviews and it seems like the machine caters for not only those looking to buy their first espresso machine but also for those experienced coffee makers out there who are looking for pure quality.
So by choosing Gaggia Classic you are likely to be extremely satisfied as some of the most experienced coffee makers out there seems to be sticking with this one.
It measures 14-1/4 by 8 by 9-1/2 inches and people are saying it’s a perfect size that will fit practically anywhere in a normal kitchen.
And if you are asking yourself how long this machine will last I can tell you that people are reporting that they’ve had it for years and it still produces great shots everyday so it seems like you’re not going to have to worry about that.
The Negative Perspective
Well, I’m aware that I have been writing a lot of positive things about the Gaggia Classic espresso machine.
But if I’m going to be frankly honest with you I really had to work hard to find any sort of negative comments.
However, I did bump into one minor complaint as I did the research and I thought It wouldn’t be more than fair to share it with you guys.
One review said It can overheat if you leave it on for a long time which will result in burnt coffee.
This will most likely be an unpleasant experience for some so get around this problem by making sure that you don’t leave it on for to long and instead turn it off when you are done using it and you will hopefully never have to experience this.
If you are looking to get the best value for your money, the Gaggia Classic espresso machine seems to outclass anything in its price range and that’s why I think it’s a great choice when you are purchasing your new espresso machine (just don’t forget to keep it clean).
But don’t take my word for it.
